The North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce its new Executive Director!

We are excited to welcome Brooke Bullock Burleson as the new Executive Director of the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra (NMSO). Brooke has been immersed in the arts since childhood and is thrilled to bring her 20+ years of musical training and teaching as well as her marketing background to the NMSO.

Brooke is a native of Petal, MS and a 2015 graduate of Petal High School. In 2019, she obtained her bachelor’s degrees in broadcast journalism and political science from the University of Southern Mississippi. As a piano teacher of over ten years and a marketing and public relations professional, Brooke brings a myriad of skills to the Executive Director role. An award winning pianist, she comes to the NMSO with an instrumentalist background while bringing knowledge and experience from having served in previous roles as a digital strategist; journalist and non-profit director of marketing and fundraising.

Beyond her professional experience, Brooke remains involved in the Tupelo community as President of Tupelo Women’s Club, Program Chairman of the Distinguished Young Women of Lee County program, philanthropy advisor for Delta Gamma at Ole Miss, board member for the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Mississippi Advisory Board and an active member of the Northeast Mississippi Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter. She also continues her passion for dance by teaching tap classes at the Tupelo Academy of Dance Arts. She and her husband, Andy, have lived in Tupelo for nearly five years and are active members of First United Methodist Church Tupelo. They are parents to one dog, their miniature schnauzer, JJ.

Please join us in welcoming Brooke Bullock Burleson to the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra as she takes on her new role of Executive Director. We know that she will help our organization accomplish great things!
